My two favorite colors in a tablescape during my favorite time of the year? YES PLEASE! This green & pink summer tablescape with hydrangea centerpiece is filled with all my favorite things! Let’s break it down so you can recreate it on your own!
My birthday is in June, and I shot this in June, so as I was shopping the house for this tablescape I pulled all things that *I* love! Lots of vintage and pretty things made the cut and thus this green & pink summer tablescape with hydrangea centerpiece was born! The vintage plaid tablecloth was from my wedding. The silver ice bucket, chargers, crystal goblets, napkins, napkin rings, and State of MO base plate (which you can see in this IG reel) are thrifted. The flatware is from an auction, the recycled and woven glasses are a birthday gift from many years ago and the Franciscan Desert Rose plates were a gift from a friend. Fluffy annabelle hydrangeas are from my yard 🙂 In short: I gathered all things that brought me joy and reminded me of people I love <3
For summer it was important to me to shoot as many tablescapes outside as I could. Long time followers will know that I generally layer a woven placemat under the chargers for extra texture. My patio table is on the smaller side and for this month I opted to skip the placemat in favor of just the charger. It created more room and let the tablescape pattern shine through.
Over the last few years I have fallen into a love affair with my Annabelle hydrangeas. They are beautiful in the yard and make for fabulous cut flowers. You can cut them to keep as dried flowers too. Not to mention they propagate and transplant so easily. Would highly recommend!
For those of you following along with the monthly tablescapes this year you may have thought I forgot about this series. Nope – just a mom who was at home this summer and fell behind while enjoying her kids! I decided that my sanity was too short to try and do it all and shifted to just focus on the two best things that were right in front of me. No regrets <3 That being said I DID create, photograph and edit all the summer tablescapes, I jut couldn’t get them into blog form to publish. So hold on to your hats ladies because I’m going to be publishing them all in quick succession to ‘catch up’! Be sure to check back soon for the ‘July’ tablescape!
Don’t forget to pin!
