Kick off summer with these summer tablescape ideas using red, white, blue and green that is perfect for Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day or any summer event!
During the summer months I want to be outside as much as possible. I’m a summer girl through and through. Heat doesn’t have a terrible effect on me and I’m happy to eat outside as often as I can. To celebrate summer and show some different looks I styled all of the summer tablescapes outside! The inspiration for this tablescape were the colorful Mexican glass margarita glasses. They were given to me a long time ago for my wedding! 🙂
These watermelon tablecloth weights felt too whimsical not to incorporate. In case you are not familiar, tablecloth weights are for outdoor use to help your linens stay on the table. Smart right?!
Using the colored glass as inspiration I pulled everything red, white, blue and green I could. The gingham tablecloth felt perfect and casual – which was ideal for the red plastic hot dog baskets! My family uses those frequently through the summer for easy outdoor dining. I was excited to try and include some more casual elements for summer into a tablescape.
This tablescape was kept super simple with the exclusion of no flatware! Imagine scopping up some hotdogs or hamburgers off the grill with a side of chips or veggies. Simple!
Thanks for hanging with me this summer. For those of you following along with the monthly tablescapes this year you may have thought I forgot about this series. Nope – just a mom who was at home this summer and fell behind while enjoying her kids! I decided that my sanity was too short to try and do it all and shifted to just focus on the two best things that were right in front of me. No regrets <3 That being said I DID create, photograph and edit all the summer tablescape ideas, I jut couldn’t get them into blog form to publish. I’ll be publishing May, June, July & August in quick succession to get back on pace so make sure you are subscribed to the blog and following along on facebook and Instagram!
