I am a bit behind the 8 ball this year in getting all of my holiday content out, but I was DETERMINED to post a Hanukkah table this year – even if it meant posting it during or after it was over. I have been so close to finishing up most of my decor for the last several days and today I had the opportunity to really wrap things up AND to put together my Hanukkah table setting & centerpiece. If you are new to here click here to catch up on how to celebrate Hanukkah if you aren’t Jewish and why a Christian would want to celebrate the holiday. That post is FULL of everything you need to know for your own Hanukkah celebration, including what foods to eat, what blessings to recite (and when) and what activities go along with the 8 day celebration.
Hanukkah tables are meant to be blue, white and silver…which is a struggle for me every year. I always feel like I have a lot of blue in my house but when it comes to my textiles and dishware I don’t. I often will use the table cloth below (which is triple folded into a thick runner) because it is the closest thing I have to the right colors. After struggling with my Hanukkah table setting & centerpiece again this year I’ve decided to make a point to up my game next year – ha! If you’ve got some good Hanukkah table inspiration please send it my way! For now though this will serve it’s purpose – and it’s people – wonderfully. I can’t wait for us to gather around the table, recite the blessings and light the candles. There is something so beautiful about about this celebration.
I’ve got a board full of fun Hanukkah foods, crafts and decor ideas over on Pinterest, you can check it out here. Happy Hanukkah everyone!
